    Luis Miguel Romero Rodríguez es Profesor Titular de Gestión y Dirección de la Comunicación Estratégica, acreditado al cuerpo de Catedráticos de Universidad (ANECA). 

    Doctor en Comunicación, con premio extraordinario de Doctorado. Máster en Comunicación Social. Especialista Universitario en Derecho y Políticas Internacionales y en Docencia Universitaria. Licenciado en Comunicación Social, mención Comunicación Corporativa y Licenciado en Derecho.

    Suma en la actualidad más de 90 artículos publicados en revistas científicas de alto impacto, y ha sido coordinador y autor de múltiples obras publicadas en editoriales de reconocido prestigio, como McGraw Hill, Tecnos, Pearson, Sindéresis, Comunicación Social Ediciones y Abya Yala.

    Experiencia docente de 16 años en programas de grado y postgrado, habiendo sido profesor en universidades de Colombia, Ecuador, España, México, y Perú. Entre 2007 y 2010 fue Director General de Extensión y Servicios a las Comunidades de la Universidad Santa María (Venezuela).

    Ha sido investigador asociado en una docena de proyectos I+D en España, México, Perú y Venezuela, entre los que se cuentan proyectos de carácter internacional, europeo y nacionales. 

    Es editor asociado de la Revista Anàlisi (Scopus Q2). De 2015 a 2023 fue editor asociado de la Revista Comunicar (JCR Q1 y Scopus Q1), y de 2016 a 2020 fue editor jefe de la Revista Retos (Scopus y Emerging Sources Citation Index). Es miembro del comité científico de las revistas Media and Communication (Scopus Q2), Revista Latina de Comunicación Social (Scopus Q2) e Index.Comunicación (Scopus).

    Ph.D. in Communication. MSc. in Social Communication. PGCert in International Law and Politics and in University Teaching. Bachelor of Science in Social Communication, minor concentration in Corporate Communication, and Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.).

    He has published more than 90 articles in high-impact scientific journals and has been the editor and author of several publications in prestigious publishing houses such as McGraw Hill, Tecnos, Pearson, Sindéresis, Comunicación Social Ediciones, and Abya Yala.

    He has 16 years of teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, having taught at universities in Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, and Peru. Between 2007 and 2010, he was General Director of Extension and Community Services at Santa María University (Venezuela).

    He has been a research associate in a dozen R&D projects and grants in Spain, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela, including international, European, and national (Spain) projects. 

    He is the associate editor of the journal Anàlisi (Scopus Q2). From 2015 to 2023, he was associate editor of the Comunicar Journal (JCR Q1 and Scopus Q1), and from 2016 to 2020, he was editor-in-chief of the Journal Retos (Scopus and Emerging Sources Citation Index). He is a member of the scientific committee of Media and Communication  (Scopus Q2), Revista Latina de Comunicación Social (Scopus Q2), and Index.Comunicación (Scopus) journals.

    • Premio 2021 a la mejor comunicación en la categoría "Corporate Social Responsibility, otorgado por la International Association on Public and Non-Profit Marketing. 
    • Premio Roblón 2020 en su categoría "Investigador Emergente de la Comunicación", otorgado por la Revista Latina de Comunicación Social.
    • Premio Profesores Innovadores 2020, en sus categorías "Mención Covid-19" y "Banco de buenas prácticas docentes", otorgado por la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
    • Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado 2015 en su categoría "Ciencias Sociales y Jurídicas", otorgado por la Universidad de Huelva.
