  • Luis Matosas-López is an Associate Professor at Rey Juan Carlos University (Madrid). He has been ranked by the Spanish Agency for the Assessment of Quality (ANECA) to the positions of PROFESOR CONTRATADO DOCTOR and PROFESOR DE UNIVERSIDAD PRIVADA.

    He holds a PhD in Economics (Extraordinary PhD Award), Masters in Marketing, Bachelors Degree in Marketing, and Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Rey Juan Carlos University. He has also completed higher studies at Francisco de Vitoria University in Spain and at IMC University of Applied Sciences in Austria.

    Luis Matosas-López has accumulated more than 4,000 hours of official teaching. The quality of his teaching has been acknowledged with two positive evaluations of the DOCENTIA program (periods 2014-2016 and 2017-2019, respectively). Acknowledgment made by the Foundation for Knowledge Madri+d. In the teaching ground it is also worth mentioning the development of several innovation projects, framed within initiatives of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), which were developed with public funding.

    Regarding his research, his work focuses on the managerial implications of the use of technology and the analysis of organizational behavior in the management of public and private organizations. On these topics, Luis Matosas-López has made more than 30 publications of significance, participating also in more than 50 international congresses.

    His research has been published in journals indexed on the Web of Sciences and Scopus catalogues. Here, various papers were published in journals positioned in the first and second quartiles (Q1 and Q2) of JCR (Journal Citations Reports) and SJR (SCImago Journal Rank). The quality of these publications was acknowledged, in 2020, with the recognition of a six-year period (period 2015-2020) of excellence in research (SEXENIO). This acknowledgment is the result of the evaluation of the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNEAI) of ANECA.

    Likewise, it is worth highlighting the publication of 15 book chapters in publishers, national and international, placed in the first positions of the SPI (Scholarly Publishers Indicators) of CSIC (Higher Council of Scientific Investigations). This is the case of publications for McGraw-Hill, Tirant Lo Blanch, IGI Global, Piramide (Anaya, Hachette Livre Group), Octaedro, Dykinson, or Tecnos (Anaya, Hachette Livre Group), among others.

    In addition, Luis Matosas-López has collaborated as a member of scientific committees in international congresses and as a reviewer of many journals indexed in JCR and SJR. In recent years, he has also participated in different contracts and research projects gained in competitive calls. Likewise, he has a large experience in quality assurance projects in the university context, being member of the expert panel of various regional agencies for quality assurance in Spain (case of the AVAP, ACCUEE, or AQUIB).

    Luis Matosas-López has worked as a marketing consultant specialized in the implementation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, working at companies such as Orange (France Telecom) and Vodafone Spain.

    Currently, besides being a member of CIBERIMAGINARIO research group at Rey Juan Carlos University, he acts as an external collaborator in the EDI research group at Autonomous University of Madrid.
