Presentación

  • Es doctor en Historia Moderna por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. En la actualidad es profesor de esta misma disciplina en la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, donde ha disfrutado de un contrato post-doctoral de la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid (2017-2018)). Ha sido investigador Marie-Curie en el Instituto de Arqueología y Paleociências de la Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2014-2017) y ha sido beneficiario de una beca FPI en el Instituto Universitario de la Corte en Europa, de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2010-2014).
    Sus principales líneas de investigación se centran en los aprovechamientos y explotación de los recursos forestales para construcción naval en la Península Ibérica desde una perspectiva multidisciplinar y en el proceso de reconfiguración de la Monarquía Católica en la segunda mitad del siglo XVII a través de don Juan José de Austria, temas que también ha tratado en numerosos artículos en revistas y libros colectivos. Ha realizado estancias de investigación en Portugal, Gales, Italia, Bélgica y España y ha formado parte de diversos proyectos de investigación nacionales e internacionales.

    Doctor in Early Modern History at Autonomous University of Madrid. He is currently a visiting professor of Early Modern History at King Juan Carlos University, where he held a post-doctoral fellowship of the the Autonomous Government of Madrid (2017-2018). He had been a Marie-Curie     fellowship at the Institute of Archaeology and Paleosciences at New University of Lisbon (2014-2017) and PhD fellowship (2010-2014) at Instituto Universitario de la Corte en Europa, at Autonomous University of Madrid.
    His two main research lines are: the uses and exploitation of forests for shipbuilding in Iberian Peninsula. He is also looking at the reshaping of the Spanish Monarchy in the second half of 17th century through Don Juan José de Austria and his household. He had published books, articles and book chapters. 
    In addition, he has taken part in several national and international research projects and performed research secondments in Portugal, Wales, Italy, Belgium and Spain.
