Licenciado en psicología en la Universidad de Jaén en 2013 y doctor en psicología por la Universidad de Jaén en 2018. He sido investigador posdoctoral en la Universidad de Jaén (2018-2019), Universidad de Leicester y Nottingham (2019-2022) y en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2023-23) con un contrato de atracción de talento internacional ¿María Zambrano¿. A lo largo de mi carrera he publicado una veintena de artículo científicos, capítulos de libro como primer autor y artículos de divulgación científica.
Mi ámbito de investigación gira en torno a los procesos cognitivos básicos y la psicología experimental. He investigado sobre aprendizaje comparado (con distintas especies animales: ratas, sapos planarias y humanos), el estudio de las emociones desde una perspectiva experimental, la interacción entre lenguaje y emoción y como los procesos de aprendizajes afectan a la cognición social. Mantengo colaboraciones de investigación activas con investigadores tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.
Como docente he impartido en varias asignaturas del área de básica (Introducción a la Psicología, Lenguaje y Pensamiento, Emoción y Motivación e Historia de la Psicología).
