Presentación
  • Enrique Hernández Balaguera received the B.S. degree in Industrial Electronics and Automatics Engineering from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha in 2012 (Award for Excellence in Academic Career), and the M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2014. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha in 2019, where the research topics presented covered the challenges to characterize the non-ideal passive electrical properties of biological tissues using circuit theory, fractional calculus, and bioimpedance measurements. During his Ph.D. trajectory, Enrique received various research awards for the best thesis in Engineering and Architecture from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha and the Group 9 of Universities. In 2019, he hold an associate lecturer position at Universidad Alfonso X El Sabio. Later, he was postdoctoral researcher in the Photonic and Electronic Organic Devices (DELFO) group and Visitant Professor of Industrial Engineering at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, where his research was focused on the physical modeling of nanostructured energy devices.

Now, Dr. Hernández-Balaguera is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Electronic Technology at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. He follows researches in various areas within the field of physiological measurements, neuroscience, electrochemistry, organic photovoltaics, and perovskite-based solar cells. He is currently conducting researches in the context of multidisciplinary sciences from the perspective of the fractional calculus. He is author of 22 articles published in refereed international bioelectrochemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering journals (indexed in WOS) and more than 18 communications to national and international congresses. Furthermore, Enrique has been involved in several competitive regional (8) and national (4) projects related to electrical characterization and mathematical modeling of biological media and electronic devices. He is reviewer for Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation y Chaos, Solitons & Fractals.
