Presentación
  • Morteza Khalifehei completed his Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics at the Technical University of Madrid in 2022, where he achieved the highest distinction with honors, "Cum Laude." His doctoral research focused on the mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of electrospray neutralization by corona discharge, under the guidance of renowned researcher Professor Francisco Higuera. His work demonstrated proficiency in advanced computational techniques and made significant contributions to understanding electrospray dynamics in multidisciplinary contexts.

He began his academic journey with a Bachelor¿s degree in Industrial Engineering in 2008, subsequently working in various industries¿including automotive, biopharmaceutical, and renewable energy. This industry experience broadened his perspective and analytical skills, leading him to pursue further specialization. In 2019, he returned to academia, earning a Master¿s degree in Aerospace Engineering (Aerodynamics) with a focus on fluid mechanics.

Until September 2024, Dr. Khalifehei served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, contributing to the MIXSHY project on hydrogen micromixers in continuous combustion systems for carbon-free aviation. His work involved simulating non-reactive and reactive turbulent flows using OpenFOAM, with a particular focus on advanced turbulence modeling and data-driven analysis through Spectral Proper Orthogonal Decomposition, offering valuable insights into hydrogen micromixing dynamics.

Dr. Khalifehei is now a professor at King Juan Carlos University, where his research interests encompass theoretical and numerical aspects of combustion, the interaction between turbulence and combustion, and premixed and diffusive hot flows. His approach integrates robust computational methods and analytical rigor, aiming to advance predictive modeling techniques essential for sustainable energy solutions.
