Presentación

  • Ángel Luís Udías Moinelo: Mining Engineer (UPM'95), PhD in Engineering of mineral resources, materials, energy and environment (UPM'04). He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
    Between 2013 and 2022 he has worked as a researcher at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission where he participates in European Commission projects related to water resources management.
    Since June 2023, he collaborates with the JRC as Seconded National Expert. Previously, he has been Associate Professor in the Dept. of Statistics and Operations Research at the URJC (7 years). Previously, Associate Professor at UC3M and Researcher at UPM (1 year).
    He has been founding partner and head of the Simulation and Optimization area of the Spin-off Inventa Soluciones dedicated to ICT.
    He has published 38 articles in indexed journals (JCR), and another 70 between book chapters, articles in non-indexed journals and conference proceedings. He has participated in 29 funded projects being the principal investigator in five of them.
    Among the areas of interest of his work are hydrological models, water resources management, Multicriteria Decision Support Systems, Optimization Techniques applied to environmental problems, Inverse and calibration problems, and Multimodality Medical Imaging.
