Presentación

  • Dr. Hicham Bakkali is a member of the High-Performance Research Group in Materials Science and Engineering at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) since 2024 and of the Applied Magnetism and Optics Research Group (FQM-335) at the University of Cádiz (UCA) since 2014. He served as a board member of the Institute of Electron Microscopy and Materials Research (IMEYMAT) at UCA between 2018 and 2023. Dr. H. Bakkali completed two doctoral theses between 2009 and 2019: one jointly supervised by the University of Barcelona (UB) and UCA, focused on granular metals, and another at Abdelmalek Essaadi University (UAE-Tangier) on plasmonic thin films and metamaterials. He has published his research in high-impact scientific journals. Throughout his career, Dr. H. Bakkali has carried out research stays at internationally renowned institutions, including ICMM-CSIC (Madrid, Spain), UNAM (Mexico), Rowan University (USA), CNRS-Versailles (France), and UPV/EHU (Leioa, Spain). He possesses advanced expertise in the electrical and optical characterization of plasmonic thin films, as well as in advanced microscopic and spectroscopic techniques. Dr. H. Bakkali has contributed to 13 research projects, published 26 scientific articles (22 indexed in JCR), holds one patent, and has presented his work at 14 national and international conferences.
