  • My career began in February 1996 when I joined the teaching and research staff of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Alcalá as an associate professor. At the same time, I came into contact with the Advanced Databases research group of the Department of Computer Science at the University Carlos III of Madrid, with whom I began to collaborate, and it was at their request that I enrolled in the PhD programme in Documentation at the University of Alcalá. In 1998 she joined the teaching staff of the Carlos III University of Madrid, as an associate lecturer. From that moment until August 2018, in the positions of Associate Professor, School Assistant, Faculty Assistant, Assistant (LOU) and Interim University Lecturer from 2006 to 2018, I taught more than ten subjects, obtaining several positive recognitions. In addition, I coordinated several subjects, taught in parallel on several campuses and groups and in different degrees. As part of this work, I have participated in the development of materials and in various teaching innovation projects.

    From the beginning, my research has been directed towards the conceptual modelling of databases, experience that has been reported in several books and book chapters, and the representation of knowledge in different application domains.
    The study of models has led to several collaborations and contributions to conferences.Thus, in April 2004, I read my doctoral thesis in which I proposed an automatic method of conversion between models. This research training has led me to participate in different research projects in which conceptual specifications and schema integration were required, from the study and evaluation of e-learning teaching mechanisms, the integration of data from heterogeneous data sources or the development of schemas for software project management, to the treatment of biomedical information; to be a member of several knowledge sharing networks, and to participate in several national and international conferences, as well as the publication of contributions in international journals and three software registers.Currently, her research interests are focused on the field of Natural Interaction, in the design of User Models and Ontologies, collaborating as a researcher on various projects, the results of which have been disseminated at international conferences, as well as directing three research projects carried out by researchers assigned to these projects and students on the department's Master's programme in Computer Science and Technology, and published in journals with an SCI impact factor.In addition, the result of these works were three theses read in the 2015/16 academic year.In September 2018 I joined the Department of Computer Science, Computer Architecture, Computer Languages and Systems, and Statistics and Operations Research at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, as an Assistant Doctor, obtaining the position of Associate Professor in December 2021.
    In the field of management, I have participated in commissions responsible for the selection of curricula for positions in the department and in faculty mobility commissions.I have been deputy director of the Degree in Computer Engineering and the Double Degree in Computer Engineering and Business Administration at the Colmenarejo campus of the UC3M, and I am currently Erasmus manager at the URJC, managing the degrees in Computer Engineering, Video Game Design and Development (until the 22/23 academic year), and Artificial Intelligence.
