Presentación
  • Alberto Olivares obtained his MSc in Mathematics and BSc in Statistics at the Univerity of Salamanca, Spain, and his PhD in Mathematical Engineering at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, Spain. He has more than 50 publications in peer-review journals and conferences and has participated in more than 25 funded research projects. He has worked as a visiting researcher at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece, and has participated as researcher and counsellor in different projects for companies. He has been member of the Editorial Board of Mathematical Problems in Engineering, technical expert of the Spanish Certification Agency (ACIE), and reviewer of several international peer-review journals. His main research interests are Nonlinear and Nonconvex Optimization, Scientific Learning, Optimal Control, Data Analysis, and Uncertainty Quantification.
